KGM Assistance Explained at Station Garage
What is KGM Assistance?
KGM Assistance is a Roadside Recovery service provided in partnership with Allianz and gives KGM/SsangYong drivers peace of mind both in the UK and mainland Europe, through a comprehensive range of benefits including:
- Roadside assistance
- Vehicle Recovery
- Vehicle Rehabilitation
- Car hire
KGM Assistance eligibility:
KGM Assistance provides 12 months Roadside Assistance cover for all new KGM vehicles.
How does KGM/SsangYong Assistance work?
If your vehicle requires repair after an immobilising fault, KGM Assistance will take your vehicle to an Authorised KGM Dealer or KGM authorised workshop.
How do I contact KGM Assistance?
From the UK you can call 0800 5879841 or 0208 6039841. If outside the UK, you'll need to dial the UK country code and number +44 208 6039854. To make sure KGM Assistance can help you with the minimum of delay, have the following information available:
- Your name and location and number of passengers
- A telephone number where you can be contacted
- Your registration number or SsangYong/KGM Assistance policy number
- Details of what has happened
Home and Roadside Assistance
In the event of the immobilisation of your vehicle whether at home or anywhere in mainland Europe, KGM Assistance will do all they can to help. If the problem cannot be resolved at home or the roadside, KGM Assistance will make arrangements to recover your vehicle to the nearest or most appropriate Authorised KGM dealer or Authorised workshop.
Additional benefits outlined:
HIRE CAR * We will organise and pay for a replacement vehicle for 48 hours if in the UK and 3 days if outside the UK but in mainland Europe. Note: There may be endorsement and age restrictions that prevent the provision of a hire car and KGM is not able to guarantee the supply of hire cars with either 4 wheel drive or fitted with a tow bar.
ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORT * KGM Assistance will assist you and your passengers to continue your journey or return home
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION * If breakdown occurs more than 50 miles from your home address and overnight accommodation is a more practical option, we will pay for the cost of the accommodation including breakfast.
VEHICLE REPATRIATION * Repatriation of your vehicle to the UK if repairs to your vehicle cannot be completed before your planned return home.
Caravans and Trailers
In the event that your vehicle is immobilised and requires recovery, KGM Assistance will recover any caravan or trailer, up to a maximum of 2.55m wide and a length of 7m, being towed by your vehicle at the time of immobilisation along with your vehicle.
Lock out and Lost Keys
If a forced entry is required, you will be asked to sign a declaration giving your permission for this to take place and that any costs for resultant damage will be your sole responsibility.
* Terms and conditions in detail
The KGM Assistance leaflet supplied with your vehicle provides full terms and conditions and the KGM Assistance team will be able to clarify entitlement should the unlikely event of a breakdown situation arise.
